Integration support, online

Psychedelic Integration Therapy in Miami and Online Across Florida

Some experiences with psychedelics, plant medicine or ketamine leave people with a clear sense of what needs to change. Others leave them shaken, confused or carrying feelings they can’t put down. A lot of people land somewhere in between: a few weeks later, the insight is fading and daily life looks exactly the same.

I’m Isabel Wyss, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor based in Miami. I offer psychedelic integration therapy online to adults across Florida, so you have a place to talk through what happened, make sense of it, and decide what you want to carry forward.

To be clear from the start: I don’t provide, prescribe or sell any substance, and I don’t guide psychedelic or plant-medicine experiences. Integration work is about what has already happened, and I approach it without judgment. Separately, I offer Ketamine-Assisted EMDR (KA-EMDR®), where a psychiatrist prescribes and oversees a low dose of ketamine during EMDR therapy.

What psychedelic integration therapy is

Integration is the work that comes after. An experience may have brought up old memories, strong emotions, images that felt important, or a new view of your relationships and choices. Integration therapy gives that material time and structure, so it can be understood and connected to the life you actually live.

People often describe a gap between what they saw and what they do. During the experience it felt obvious that you needed to stop overworking or speak up in your marriage. Back at your desk on Monday, the old habits returned. My aim is to help you turn those insights into small, steady changes in daily life, slowly and in a way your body can tolerate.

Sessions draw on the same tools I use in the rest of my practice: somatic therapy, mindfulness, IFS-informed parts work and ACT. Each one helps you stay grounded while you look at what came up.

When an experience was hard or confusing

Some experiences feel difficult during or after. People can come out of a ceremony, retreat or treatment session feeling raw for weeks. Others feel fine at first and notice changes later. You might notice:

  • Anxiety, panic or a racing heart that wasn’t there before
  • Trouble sleeping, or replaying parts of the experience at night
  • Childhood memories that surfaced and now won’t go back where they were
  • Feeling detached, unreal or far away from your own life
  • Grief, anger or shame you don’t know what to do with
  • Confusion about whether what you saw was true, symbolic or neither
  • Feeling alone with it because the people around you wouldn’t understand

These reactions are more common than people expect, and they don’t mean something is wrong with you. They do deserve care. We go at a pace that keeps you within what your nervous system can handle, and we work on steadiness first, before we look closely at what you saw or felt.

If you are having thoughts of harming yourself, or you feel unable to stay safe, therapy is the wrong first step. For urgent help at any hour, call or text 988 (the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or go to the closest emergency department.

What integration sessions involve

  1. 01A free 15-minute consultationWe talk by phone or video about what you’re hoping for, and you can ask anything about how I work. There’s no obligation to book.
  2. 02Telling the story at your paceIn early sessions you describe what happened, sharing only what you’re ready to share. I listen for what felt most important to you, what felt frightening, and what has stayed with you since.
  3. 03Grounding in the bodyWe notice how the experience is still showing up in your body, such as a tight chest, restlessness or heaviness, and practice ways to settle it. My training as an Integrated Somatic Trauma Practitioner shapes this part of the work.
  4. 04Making sense of itWe look at the themes, images and insights and connect them to your history, your relationships and your current life. Sometimes this means working with older pain the experience brought up, using approaches such as EMDR or parts work.
  5. 05Bringing it into daily lifeWe choose small, concrete changes you want to try and look honestly at what gets in the way. Over time, the insight becomes part of how you live instead of something you only remember.

Legality, safety and a judgment-free approach

Ketamine is a prescription medicine. Most other psychedelics, including psilocybin and ayahuasca, are not legal in Florida. I don’t help anyone find, obtain or prepare for a psychedelic or plant-medicine experience, and I won’t tell you whether to have one.

The one way ketamine is part of my own work is Ketamine-Assisted EMDR (KA-EMDR®). There, a psychiatrist prescribes and oversees a low dose that keeps you alert and involved while we do EMDR. It is a medical decision made with the prescriber, and you can read more on my EMDR therapy page.

If you are considering any ketamine treatment, please speak with a prescribing physician about whether it suits you and how it would be supervised. That decision belongs with you and your medical provider.

What I can offer is a place to talk openly about what has already happened. You won’t be lectured or judged for your choices, and you don’t need to defend them. You also don’t need to believe the experience was positive. We work with what is true for you.

Online sessions for people in Miami and across Florida

All sessions are secure, HIPAA-compliant video sessions, and you need to be physically in Florida at the time of each one. I’m based in Miami and work with clients in Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach and the rest of the state.

Talking from home can help with this kind of work. You can have a blanket, a glass of water and a quiet room nearby, and you don’t have to sit in I-95 traffic after a session that stirred things up.

Sessions are 50–60 minutes and cost $175. Insurance options depend on your plan, so ask during your free consultation. When you’re ready, you can book a free consultation through my secure client portal.

Questions about Psychedelic Integration Therapy

Do you provide psychedelics or guide psychedelic sessions?

No. I don’t provide, prescribe, sell or guide the use of psychedelics or plant medicine, and I don’t sit with anyone during a psychedelic experience. My role here is integration support: talking through what has already happened, helping you feel steady, and working out what you want to do with what came up. Separately, I offer Ketamine-Assisted EMDR (KA-EMDR®), in which a psychiatrist prescribes and oversees a low dose of ketamine during EMDR therapy.

Can I come to therapy if my experience was frightening?

Yes. Difficult experiences are one of the most common reasons people look for integration support. We start by helping your body and mind feel steadier, then look at what happened slowly enough that it stays manageable. If you are in crisis or can’t stay safe, call or text 988 (the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or go to the closest emergency department before anything else.

Will you judge me for using psychedelics?

No. Your choices are your own, and our work focuses on what happened and how you’re doing now. What you share is confidential within the limits that apply to all therapy in Florida, which mainly involve serious risk of harm to yourself or others, or suspected abuse of a child or an older or dependent adult. I go over these limits with every client at the start.

How many integration sessions will I need?

It depends on the experience and on what it brought up. Some people want a few sessions to make sense of one specific event. Others find the experience opened older material, such as trauma or grief, and choose to keep working on that in ongoing therapy. We review how things are going together and adjust as we go.

Is psychedelic integration therapy available online in Florida?

Yes. All my sessions are secure video sessions for adults who are physically in Florida during the session. I’m based in Miami and see clients across the state. Sessions are 50–60 minutes and $175. A free 15-minute phone or video consultation lets us both check whether we’re a good fit.
