Beyond understanding your patterns
I built this framework for two patterns I see again and again. Many people already understand where they come from. Knowing hasn’t changed how they feel.
This work goes further. Together we develop the emotional regulation, internal safety, self-awareness and psychological flexibility you need to begin changing deeply ingrained responses, so you can build a more secure sense of self-worth, healthier boundaries, and the capacity to experience rest, connection and fulfillment without constantly relying on achievement or over-responsibility.
- 01
High-functioning over-responsibility and people-pleasing
You learned to feel safe, connected or worthy by being needed, helpful, responsible or indispensable. Now you over-function, struggle to set boundaries, feel guilty when you rest, stay tuned in to everyone else’s moods, and put other people’s needs ahead of your own.
- 02
Hyper-achievement and performance-based self-worth
Your identity and sense of worth have become tied to achievement, productivity and success. It can show up as perfectionism, chronic anxiety, trouble slowing down, fear of failure, emotional exhaustion and a constant feeling that you’re never doing enough.
The six phases
A 6-phase therapeutic journey

- 1
Regulation & Capacity
Develop nervous system awareness, emotional regulation, and the capacity to tolerate slowing down, uncertainty, and discomfort without automatically turning to productivity, control, or caretaking.
- 2
Pattern Awareness
Identify the protective patterns, core beliefs, and relational dynamics that reinforce over-functioning, people-pleasing, perfectionism, and performance-based self-worth. Understand how these adaptations developed and what continues to maintain them.
- 3
Emotional Processing
Process unresolved emotional experiences and underlying beliefs that contribute to chronic anxiety, hyper-responsibility, fear of failure, and the need for external validation.
- 4
Identity Reclamation
Explore who you are beyond your roles, achievements, and responsibilities. Reconnect with personal needs, values, desires, and a sense of self-worth that isn’t dependent on performance or approval.
- 5
Integration
Translate therapeutic insights into everyday choices by practicing healthier boundaries, allowing rest, receiving support, expressing needs, and responding differently to familiar triggers.
- 6
Embodiment
Strengthen the ability to consistently live from a place of internal security, self-trust, and personal agency, so that healthier ways of relating to yourself and others become increasingly natural and sustainable.

The overarching transformation
From earning your worth to trusting it
From
Feeling safe, worthy, and connected primarily through achievement, productivity, control, or being needed by others.
To
Developing the internal security, emotional flexibility, and self-trust to experience worth, connection, and fulfillment without constantly having to earn them.
Inside each phase
The methods we draw on
The phases give us a roadmap, and the methods are chosen around you. Every person is different, and different things come up along the way, so we adjust as we go.
Questions about the framework
How long does each phase take?
There’s no fixed timeline. Every person is different, and the time each phase takes depends on your history, what comes up along the way and what you want from therapy. We review where you are together and move on when it feels right, sometimes returning to an earlier phase when you need more support.
Do I have to do EMDR?
No. EMDR is one option for the emotional processing phase, not a requirement. If EMDR isn’t right for you, we can process difficult experiences in other ways, using somatic therapy, parts work and talk-based approaches.
Why does the framework start with regulation?
Deeper processing goes better when you have enough internal resources and stability to stay present with it. The first phase builds the capacity to slow down and tolerate discomfort without automatically turning to productivity, control or caretaking.
